We need your help to make these flights possible. Every donation is important to achieve our goals. All donations go to the flight operations, we are an all volunteer organization.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Honor Flight Southern Nevada's mission is to ensure as many veterans as possible are able to partake in the trip of their lifetime. They are escorted, as the heroes they are, by volunteers who understand and appreciate what tremendous individuals this Greatest Generation produced! What makes this trip even more special is they are bestowed throughout the trip with various surprises each geared towards honoring them for the tremendous impact each of every one of them has had on our country.
We Need Your HELP!
The unfortunate reality is we are loosing our Heroes, Our Greatest Generation by a staggering number every day.
We are fighting time!!
Our goal is to take ALL Southern Nevada World War 2 Veterans who are able to go and wish to see the monuments dedicated in their honor.
For this to happen we need YOU to dig deep...give what you can...to give this Greatest Generation the Greatest trip of their lives!
To give you an idea of what this trip has meant to our veterans here is are some quotes from thank you letters Honor Flight has received.
"I want to thank all of you for all you did for us. The trip was my home coming for being away 3 1/2 years in the Pacific. We all cried. I thank you."
"So many memories! I am still on cloud nine. What a wonderful weekend...it was indescribable."
"Thank you for the trip of a lifetime. Sharing this time with others of my generation was an unbelievable experience. How impressive were the sea to sea pillars with the mighty eagles holding victory wreathes! How many times we were too choked up with emotion to talk. Hearing and re-living war-time experiences and then have so many kindness shown to us was overwhelming."
According to The National WW11 Museum we are loosing just over 600 veterans each and every day. There are only approximately 1.2 million out of the 16 million who served in World War 2 remaining with us.
As you can see by those numbers time is not on our side and that is why Honor Flight Southern Nevada is working towards its' goal of raising $600,000 to charter flights so All veterans who are able can experience what some of their fellow veterans have.
Please Donate Today...$5.00...$10.00...whatever you are able!
